Boondi Raita

Raita is an accompaniment with paratha's , briyani , pulav and so on. I even like to eat raita alone at times. Here is one such raita that I love to have with parathas. When you like to prepare different raita do try this.

Ingredients:


Curd - 1/2 cup

Boondi - 2 tablespoon(salted boondi/raita boondi )

Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon

Roasted cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon

Salt to taste

A pinch of sugar



Note: Before preparation just a few tips .

  1. If you are using salted boondi add salt accordingly. Raita boondi are also available in super markets.

  2. Do not to thick curd or youghurt. Wisk the youghurt well. Add little water.

  3. Use kashmiri red chilli powder for mild spiciness.

Preparation:


Step1: Soak the Boondi for 10-15 mins in water.



Step2 : Drain the excess water from boondi after soaking.



Step3: Into a bowl add salt, sugar, roasted cumin powder and red chilli powder to the yogurt wisk well . Now add 2 tablespoon of water wisk it again. The consistency should be semi thick.

Step 4: Now add the soaked boondi into the yoghurt. Serve chilled for better taste.
