Carrot Poriyal

Carrots are good source of beta carotene , fibre and anti-oxidant. It also act as a good source of vitamin. When ever I see or eat carrot, I remember the fact people used to tell me, if you eat carrot your skin will glow. I honestly don’t know whether

the fact is true or not , but the fact made me eat carrot. I hope people reading this might also came across such situations. If so please share with me in comments section. Carrot poriyal is simple recipe yet tasty one too.


Ingredients:


Medium sized carrot - 2 Nos

Green chili - 1 No

Sliced Onion - 2 teaspoon

Moong dhal - 1 teaspoon

Garlic clove - 1

Oil - 1 teaspoon

Salt as per taste

Turmeric powder a pinch

Preparation:

Step1: Wash the carrot and cut them into small cubes . Soak moong dhal for 30 mins in water

Step2: Heat the pan add oil. Once the oil is hot add sliced garlic, onion and green chili.

Step3: Saute the onion until translucent and add turmeric powder.

Step4: Add chopped carrot and soaked moong dhal and mix well



Step5: Cook until carrot is soft. Our simple yet tasty carrot poriyal is ready.
