Lason Chutney/Garlic Chutney

Garlic has good medicinal value. Adding it our diet makes our immune system stronger.

The recipe is quite spicy and goes well with chapathi or dosa. People who like to eat spicy dishes will absolutely love it. Here comes spicy garlic/lason chutney recipe. Do try this chutney and share your feedback.

Ingredients:


  1. Garlic cloves - 20 Nos

  2. Red chilli - 4-5 Nos

  3. Tomato - half

  4. Gingely Oil - 3 tablespoon

  5. Mustard - 1/2 Teaspoon

  6. Cumin seed - 1/2 Teaspoon

  7. Asofoetida - 1/4 Teaspoon

  8. Salt to taste

Preparation:

  1. Soak the red chilli in hot water for 30 minutes.

  2. After soaking the chilli, drain the water and add it to blender and give it a few pulse.

  3. Now chop and add the garlic and tomatoes to the blender. Grind well with 2-3 tablespoon water.



4. Heat a kadai. Add the oil, once heated add mustard and cumin seed. Wait until mustard splutters. Add asafoetida and add the ground paste without water. Adding water to ground paste prolongs the cooking process.

5. Cook in medium flame until oil ooze out.




You can store this chutney for 3-4 days outside.
