Rava Dosa

Whenever we go out for restaurant for dinner or breakfast, I prefer to have dosa. Dosa play important role in breakfast or dinner recipe. Rava dosa is a recipe that we can prepare it instantly with ingredients available at home. If I have craving to eat dosa and I don't have fermented dosa batter. I will prepare rava dosa and suffice my craving.


Serves 10 dosas

Cooking time 45 mins.


Ingredients:




  1. Rava - 1 cup

  2. Rice flour - 1 cup

  3. Maida - 2 tbsp

  4. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

  5. Peppercorns - 1 tsp

  6. Sliced coconut - 1tsp

  7. Yoghurt - 1 tbsp

  8. Onion - 1 medium sized (Finely chopped)

  9. Ginger chopped - 1 tsp

  10. Cashew nut chopped - 1 tsp(optional)

  11. Salt as per your taste





Preparation:


Take bowl Mix all the ingredients except Onion.


Mix well with a spoon. Add water little by little and mix well. The batter should be of runny consistency.


Rest the batter for 20 mins.

Now mix the onion to the batter. Make dosa as shown in the tawa. While spreading the dosa in the tawa, The tawa should be hot.



Now keep the heat to medium heat , add oil on top of the dosa and allow it cook for 3 mins.

Once cooked serve the dosa hot with chutney .


Now rava dosa is ready. I always preferred to have the dosa with coconut chutney.
